Advocating is extremely important, and thanks to a lot of incredible advocates in the disability community, we have a lot of the rights we have today.
Growing up with a disability, you have to become an advocate very early. Whether something big or small, you always have to be making sure that you have the resources you need.
Something that not a lot of people talk about is how advocating can be exhausting.
Having to constantly be “on your toes” and making sure that your voice is heard is not easy.
But if you’re feeling discouraged, think about it this way..
Every time you are doing something new or something you’ve never done before, you are paving the way for someone else.
You are paving the way for future generations and someday maybe they’ll think, “ that person did it, so why can’t I?”
You never know who is watching..
Don’t ever give up, and keep going after your dreams!
Take care of yourself, and keep on shining!

Good job Kelsi. This is very true. I have been doing advocacy about service dogs. This is inspiring, thank you.
